A compelling alignment of geography, opportunity, and vision
Completed in 2018, the NDP (National Development Plan) was created in conjunction with the United Nations’ efforts to assist the country’s recovery from the mismanagement of a dictatorial regime that lasted 22 years. The dictator was removed by a democratic election held in late 2016, a truly unique event and saying much to the country’s formidable spirit. The democratically elected President, Adama Barrow, has completed his second peaceful election. He enters his second term with proven stability and with an eye on “good governance and accountability, social cohesion, and national reconciliation…” The 40 Flagship and priority projects established by the NDP are assisting the country to revitalize and achieve a transformed economy for the wellbeing of all Gambians. Barajally is proud to be a part of those efforts.
